Our cafeteria is advertising "vegetarian beef soup" today. I'm quite certain that this does not mean unBeef bouillon or some other substitute.

The chef, it turned out, was sort of defiantly proud that his honest-to-meatless soup had successfully created the illusion of animal products. With that goal in mind, "vegetarian beef soup" doesn't seem so unlikely. "It's almost as good as real beef soup!"
