So Wonkette has been doggedly following the story of Farrah Ashline, erstwhile proprietress of girlsgoingout.com. While looking for a picture of her on google, I stumbled across some more goods, in the form of 1999 postings to a DC employment bulletin board. Looks like she had some interesting business going on.

Here she's looking for "Entertainers, Models, Actors." The next day "Massage Business Seeks Professional Support" and "Lingerie Models, Dancers, Entertainers Sought." It wasn't until February that she required a "Bodyguard, Personal Assistant, Massage Business."

Good thing those prostitution charges in Albany didn't stick. That could have ruined her reputation.

I suppose I am just one of the countless writers who worked for Farrah Ashline, and after some measure of cajoling, begging, and cheek-turning, became fed up with the lies and b.s. she doles out on a daily basis. I think - THINK - I MAY have received one check (although my brain is a bit foggy about that even) for ONE of the columns I wrote for her. After that it was free work, despite her promises to the contrary.

Not only did I end up working months for her for no money, but she ended up calling me on a Sunday morning and ranting on my voice mail about how unreliable and undedicated I was for not returning her calls. The girl is CLUELESS. And yes, I say girl, because it takes a lot more than just hitting puberty and smiling for the camera to be a WOMAN. Based on her "personal" e-mails I have read in the past, Ms. Ashline is sexist (yes, I said SEXIST), racist, and generally clueless -- not only about herself but about the world outside of her Barbie Doll existence. Glad the Post gave her a rude awakening to the rest of us "girls." Perhaps GIRLS GETTING OUT is a more appropriate title for her "club."

Lucky you! I signed two contacts at two different writers meetings and never saw a dime.
I was not only innundated with foolish, meaningless and repetitive e-mails from Farrah on a daily basis, (also with calls...usually asking for someone to bring her Stacker Supplements...I am sure she freaked when they banned ephedra)

I was also promised checks etc.. and never saw them.

As a writer, I feel I truly gave away my "art" for free.

I mean if she is going to F*ck so many people up the ass, she could have at least given half of them a decent reach around.
